James D. Russell, Class of 1942

Military Service/Achievements:
After training at Ft. Francis Warren, WY, Camp Lee, VA, & Ft. Worth as a Q.M. I was shipped out to England on the HMRS Queen Elizabeth. 6 weeks later I was establishing rail heads across N. Africa to Bizerta. Next stop was Naples Italy to establish more rail heads to supply the 5th Army. 1944 my company merged to form the 70th Q.M. Base Depot Co. Promoted to Captain and Company Commander. Continued to establish rail heads in Marseille France. After the war joined the Reserves 1946-1955. Discharged O-3.
